National Day of Giving

Next month, the “National Day of Giving” – #GivingTuesday, will take place on November 29. Celebrated on the Tuesday following the shopping days of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, this National Day of Giving highlights the importance of giving back.

#GivingTuesday began in 2012 to bring focus to the charitable season using the power of social media. In 2015, the initiative raised more than $116 million in more than 70 countries.

This year, we can harness the power of #GivingTuesday and social media to support the SAE Foundation, a cause that means a great deal to me.

Of course, I want to do my part and serve as an example. Toward that goal, I pledge to match any gifts made on November 29, up to $2,500.

You can donate to the SAE Foundation by completing the easy-to-use form.

So, why donate to the SAE Foundation?

For starters, the SAE Foundation supports programs that champion science, technology, engineering, and math education around the world; programs that have reached over 5 million students and have brought more than 30,000 professionals into classrooms with SAE’s proven STEM education programs.

In addition, the SAE Foundation supports more than 60 awards and recognitions, and a dozen undergraduate and graduate scholarships.

But, this is just a sampling of the wonderful work the SAE Foundation does. I invite you to learn more by visiting

Please join me in making a gift; together we can ignite the curious minds of young people and spark an even brighter future.
